About This Independent Resource

A transparent way to organize a project inquiry and seek an independent local provider.

What this page actually does

Fill out a project inquiry here, and where there's a match, it gets forwarded to an independent local provider. Nothing here performs the work, and nothing here claims a license, an office, a crew, or a portfolio of completed jobs.

What to confirm before you hire anyone

Verify identity, whatever license the scope requires, insurance, permits, a written scope of work, warranty terms, scheduling, and payment terms before authorizing anything.

Why Cary's growth history matters here

Cary started as a literal railroad crossroads: Frank Page platted a townsite around a new depot on the North Carolina Railroad in 1868, and the town incorporated a few years later, named for temperance reformer Samuel Fenton Cary. It stayed a small, walkable crossroads town — centered on what's now the historic district and the restored 1868 Page-Walker Hotel — until Research Triangle Park, and later a major software company's headquarters, turned it into one of the fastest-growing suburbs in the country starting in the 1980s. That growth spurt is why Cary's housing runs so heavily toward large-lot, late-twentieth-century subdivisions built on Piedmont red clay, with only a small older core built to an earlier, denser standard.

What the town's own records add

Cary keeps a historic-preservation program alongside its municipal stormwater system. Being inside a planned subdivision doesn't remove the need to check lot drainage, easements, and any local landmark designation before scoping the work.
