Interior work sits outside both records
A bathroom project touches neither stormwater nor preservation in most cases, because both are concerned with what happens outside the building envelope. Two exceptions: relocating a fixture is permit-triggering in its own right, and on a designated property a new exterior vent penetration becomes a visible alteration. Neither is about the finishes being chosen.

Confirm designation before locating a vent
Citywide records cannot tell you your parcel's designation status, the permit path for moving a drain, or what is behind the tile. Confirm the first with the town and the rest before demolition rather than after.
